Delhi received 41.2 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Saturday, which is the highest rainfall in a single day in December in 101 years. The Meteorological Department gave this information.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital received the highest rainfall in a single day on December 3, 1923, which was 75.7 mm.

Meanwhile, the sky remained cloudy in Delhi on Saturday and the Meteorological Department has issued a ‘Yellow Alert’ for the day, predicting light to moderate rain.

The minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 12.7 degrees Celsius, which was six degrees above the season’s average.

Meanwhile, according to Central Pollution Control Board data, air quality in Delhi improved and the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 152 at 9 am on Saturday.

AQI is rated between zero and 50 as ‘good’, 51 and 100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 as ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 as ‘poor’, 301 and 400 as ‘very poor’ and 401 and 400 as ‘poor’. Between 500 is considered ‘severe’.
