New Delhi. Delhi Police has arrested two more accused in connection with the violence that took place in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on April 16 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. According to the police, both are brothers in a relationship. They are directly related to Ansar, the main accused of violence. One of the two arrested accused is named Zafar and the other is Babauddin. According to the police, both of them attacked the people involved in the procession in Jahangirpuri with glass bottles. Along with this, both were also seen waving swords. Both had a big role in the violence. They are well acquainted with Ansar and the three were in constant touch.
Police is now investigating more aspects of the conspiracy by interrogating Zafar and Babuuddin. Earlier, the police had arrested 28 adults and 3 minors, including the main accused Ansar, in this case. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has 9 accused. He is also being questioned. The police have said that they will not allow the accused to escape under any circumstances and will give the harshest punishment to all as part of the conspiracy to spread riots.
Earlier, all the photos of Ansar, the main accused of Jahangirpuri violence, had come on social media. The BJP alleges that Ansar has links with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Whereas, AAP had accused Ansar of having links with BJP. Ansar used to do junk work in the area. However, many of his photos came in which he is seen wearing a bundle of notes and gold chains and rings in his hand. He also has a 5-storey house in Jahangirpuri and also keeps an expensive car. He is originally from Haldia in West Bengal.
