The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President and former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad on 19 March for questioning. Official sources gave this information on Tuesday.
Prasad has been asked to appear before the Federal Investigation Agency in Patna.
In the same case, some members of his family have also been summoned for questioning. Sources said that their statements will be recorded under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
However, sources said that Prasad and his family members are not expected to appear before the agency.
Last year, the ED filed a charge sheet against Lalu Prasad’s family members in a Delhi court in a case, in which his wife Rabri Devi and his daughter Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, besides some others, were also accused.
