In Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, security forces killed a Naxalite in an encounter. Police officials gave this information on Saturday.
Officials said that the security force personnel were dispatched in patrol on Friday after the information of Naxalite activity in Jugaad police station area.
He said that when the party was in the area, on Friday night, the Naxalites started firing on the security forces, after which the soldiers also retaliated.
Officials said that when the security forces searched the spot after the encounter, the bodies, weapons, explosives and other items of a Naxalite were recovered from there. He said that after the returning of the security forces, more information will be available in this regard and the campaign is going on against the Naxalites in the area.
