A shocking case has come to light in which an Indian youth was trapped in Bahrain for the last 42 years, now he has returned to a safe India. According to the information received, 74 -year -old Gopalan Chandran was stranded in Bahrain for nearly four decades. He is originally from Powdikonam village of Trivandrum, Kerala.

According to the information received by the officials, he went to Bahrain in August 16, 1983 in search of a job. He wanted to help his family financially. He went to Bahrain with a new job dreams but his luck was somewhat different. After reaching Bahrain, his employer died and his passport was lost.
Due to this, he got stuck in Bahrain. Nearly 4 decades later, a NGO, Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) has helped him. This Indian migrant has been helped by the Indian Embassy and Immigration Department in Bahrain. He will return to his 95 -year -old mother who never left hopes of her arrival.
