Srinagar. The security forces engaged in stopping the continuous terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir have achieved great success. Army and security forces personnel killed terrorist Abu Usman of Lashkar-e-Taiba and The Resistance Force i.e. TRF with a bounty of Rs 15 lakh in Khanyar area of Srinagar. At the same time, terrorist Arbaaz Mir, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh, was killed along with his fellow terrorist in Halkan Gali Larnu of Anantnag. Lashkar-e-Taiba has suffered a major blow by the killing of Abu Usman in the encounter. Abu Usman had also fought in Afghanistan. He was planning to carry out suicide attacks by recruiting youth in Kashmir valley. According to security forces, Abu Usman had come to Srinagar only 2 days ago. On receiving news of his presence in Khanyar area, the army and security forces launched a search operation and killed Abu Usman after an encounter of several hours.
Abu Usman’s master in Pakistan is Saifullah alias Sajjad Jatt. For the last 3 years, security forces were continuously searching for Abu Usman. He had carried out target killing in Kashmir valley. Abu Usman’s targets were mainly immigrants, minorities and policemen. Abu Usman was mainly a resident of Pakistan. Earlier also he had infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir twice. Four years ago, Abu Usman had infiltrated Kashmir Valley for the third time. He was involved in many terrorist incidents in North and Central Kashmir. After his killing, it is now being ascertained how many youths had been included in the terrorist organization by Abu Usman.
Terrorist incidents are happening continuously in Jammu and Kashmir since June 9 this year. Apart from the army, migrant laborers are being targeted. Recently, terrorists had targeted workers engaged in the construction of a tunnel and killed many people including a doctor. Only after this, the Central Government instructed the security forces including the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police to conduct a major operation to eliminate the terrorists. Only after this instruction, the security forces have killed many terrorists in the last few weeks. According to the information, about 250 terrorists are active in Jammu and Kashmir. A strategy has been made to dispose of all of them.
