New Delhi. BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht, who won from Delhi’s Muslim -dominated Mustafabad seat, has given a big statement. Mohan Singh Bisht has said that Mustafabad has a population of Hindus. In such a situation, he wants to change the name of Shivpuri or Shiva Vihar. Mohan Singh Bisht had promised the people of Mustafabad during the election campaign that he would change the name of the area. Now BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht wants to fulfill that promise. Mustafabad is a Muslim dominated seat of Delhi. Apart from BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht, Aam Aadmi Party, Congress and AIMIM of Asaduddin Owaisi also fielded candidates here. Mohan Singh Bisht of BJP has defeated Adil Ahmed Khan of Aam Aadmi Party. At number three, Owaisi’s party candidate Tahir Hussain was. In Delhi, Tahir Hussain, accused of the 2020 riots, got 33474 votes. Whereas, Ali Mehdi of Congress got only 11763 votes. In 2020, the seat of Mustafabad was won by Haji Yunus of Aam Aadmi Party. This time too, Muslim candidates of three parties were in the fray here. Because of this, Mohan Singh Bisht’s victory matters a lot.
The seat of Mustafabad was formed in 2008 due to delimitation. There are a large number of Muslim voters in Delhi’s Mustafabad seat. There were riots in 2020 and 53 people died. Hundreds of other people were injured in riots. Earlier it was believed that Mohan Singh Bisht would not win from Mustafabad, but he overturned the equation. It is believed that the Hindu population of Mustafabad has united and won the Delhi Assembly elections to Mohan Singh Bisht.
