Pahalgam terror attack: CDS Anil Chauhan met Rajnath Singh, a 40 -minute meeting - India tv hindi

The tension between India and Pakistan has increased after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General of the Indian Armed Forces Anil Chauhan met him at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes. In the meeting, General Chauhan gave detailed information about various operations to the Defense Minister and discussed their multi-direct strategies and their sustainability.

Terrorists killed 22 people

The meeting was held on 22 April after a terrible terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 people, including most tourists and a Nepali citizen. The attack took place in Basaron area at around 2:00 pm. The incident was the deadliest attack in Kashmir since the 2019 Pulwama attack, in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed.

Inquiry witnesses continue to interrogate the attack

After the attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams have intensified the search for evidence at the scene in Pahalgam from 23 April. The investigation involves officials led by IG, DIG and SP of NIA, who are interrogating eyewitnesses of the attack.

Demand for action against Pakistan

Apart from this, the Indian Army has maintained high vigilance after the attack and has launched several search operations to destroy terrorists. After this attack, there is resentment across the country and there are large -scale protests across the country demanding strict action against Pakistan.
