After the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave the country. Following this decision of the government, 786 Pakistani citizens have left India through the Attari border in six days. Osama, a Pakistani citizen, has claimed that he had been living in India for the last 17 years. He has documents like Aadhaar card, ration card and voter ID.
Osama said, “I have been living here for 17 years. I have studied 10th and 12th here. I am graduating and after that I was preparing for a government job. I have a ration card, Aadhaar card, and I have also voted in India.”
Osama appealed to the central government to give him some time so that he could organize his life. He said, “What happened in Pahalgam is very shameful. I condemn him. But what about my studies and future? What will I do there?
In the video released by ANI, Osama can be seen returning to Pakistan on the Attari-Wagah border. After the video surfaced, the Election Commission has directed the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir to take appropriate action in this matter. The Commission has issued a show cause notice to the concerned Election Registration Officer.
Meanwhile, another case has come up from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. Where Pakistani citizen Shumila Khan has been accused of getting a teacher job through fake documents. Police have registered an FIR against 43 -year -old Khan for fraud, forgery and use of fake documents.
According to the Times of India report, Khan was employed in a primary school in Madhore, Fatehganj Western (Bareilly) and got a job in the Basic Education Department of the state by making fake residence certificates from Rampur.
The October 2023 investigation by the local intelligence unit revealed that Shumila’s parents are Pakistani citizens. He was then suspended and later dismissed from service. Basic Education Officer Sanjay Singh said that the process of recovery of his salary has been started. According to police, Khan is absconding for the last three months.
He was recently seen in Rampur. But she escaped before the arrest. He was last seen in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
District Magistrate Avinash Singh has summoned the report from the Basic Education Department and the local police in this case. According to the police, Shumila’s mother Mahira Akhtar was also dismissed from a government teacher’s job in Rampur in 2015. Mahira married a Pakistani citizen in 1979 and returned to India after divorcing in 1981 and married again.
Shumila was born in Pakistan’s first marriage in Pakistan. He later received schooling from Rampur and earned a B.Ed. degree from Mirganj in Bareilly.
Significantly, on 22 April, 26 Indian tourists were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this, the Government of India took strict steps and ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave the country.
