RG Kar Medical College Case: CBI gets 8 days remand of Dr. Sandeep Ghosh and three other accused

New Delhi. Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, has been sent to CBI remand for 8 days. The court also ordered Afsar Ali, Biplab Singha and Suman Hazara, who were arrested along with Sandeep, to be sent to CBI custody for 8 days. Now all these accused will appear on September 10. Dr. Sandeep Ghosh has been arrested in the case of financial irregularities related to the medical college and hospital. Action has also been taken against three other people who were assistants of Dr. Sandeep in this case.

Let us tell you that Dr. Ghosh is also on the radar of CBI in the matter of suppressing the rape and murder case of a doctor in the medical college. CBI has already questioned Dr. Ghosh several times in this case. Not only this, after the court’s order, CBI has also conducted a polygraph test of Dr. Ghosh. Indian Medical Association (IMA) has also taken major action against Dr. Sandeep Ghosh and suspended his membership. Dr. Sandeep was the Vice President of the Kolkata branch of IMA.

Earlier, former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Medical College Akhtar Ali had made several serious allegations against Dr. Ghosh. Ali had claimed that Dr. Ghosh was involved in a racket selling unclaimed bodies. Whatever work was done in RG Kar Medical College, be it posting, transfer, hostel allotment, Dr. Sandeep Ghosh used to take money in everything. He used to take 20 percent commission in the name of tender orders. Ali had also accused Ghosh of being involved in the racket of smuggling of biomedical waste and medical equipment in Bangladesh. After these allegations, a case of financial irregularities was registered against Dr. Ghosh.
