Union Home Minister Amit Shah was on a 3-day Jammu and Kashmir tour.
Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday called upon all security agencies to work in a coordinated manner to strengthen the success achieved after the reconstruction of Article 370 and achieve the goal of making Jammu and Kashmir terror-free. Addressing the security review meeting in Srinagar, Shah said that the Center is committed to establishing permanent peace in Jammu and Kashmir and completely eliminating terrorism. The Union Home Minister said, “All agencies should continue functioning in a coordinated manner so that the success achieved after the cancellation of Article 370 in this Union Governance can be retained and the goal of ‘Terrorism-free Jammu and Kashmir’ can be achieved as soon as possible.”
Shah reiterated ‘no tolerance policy’ regarding terrorism
During the meeting, the Home Minister appreciated the efforts of the security agencies, which has reduced the recruitment of youth in terrorism related incidents, infiltration and terrorist organizations. He reiterated the ‘no tolerance policy’ regarding terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah said that due to the continuous and coordinated efforts of the Modi government, the entire terrorist supporter ecosystem, nurtured by anti-national elements in Jammu and Kashmir, has been paralyzed. He directed all security agencies to continue efforts with a coordinated approach to end terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah also reviewed preparations for Shri Amarnathji Yatra
Shah also emphasized that the implementation of the regional domination scheme and zero terror scheme should be ensured in the mission mode ‘. The Home Minister said that the Modi government is providing all the necessary resources to achieve this goal. He also reviewed the preparations for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra to be held from July 3 to August 9 this year and directed the concerned agencies to take all necessary action to complete the pilgrimage peacefully. Earlier, while presiding over the development review meeting, Shah said that the Modi government is working with determination towards the construction of developed Jammu and Kashmir.
Home Minister returned to New Delhi after 3-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir
Shah said, “A new era of prosperity is starting for every citizen through development and welfare initiatives with the untiring efforts of Prime Minister Modi.” He said that Jammu and Kashmir is moving fast on the path of development in every region. During this review meeting, the achievements of the Union Territory in the fields of electricity, connectivity, industry, tourism and agriculture were highlighted before the Union Home Minister. The Home Minister directed the agencies to take all the necessary steps to further intensify the pace of development in Jammu and Kashmir so that the full capacity of the Union Territory can be used. Shah returned to New Delhi after a 3-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Minister Abdullah was not part of the security review meeting
Officials said that the development review meeting held at Raj Bhavan was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, besides the big officers of the Union Home Ministry and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said that however, Chief Minister Abdullah was not part of the security review meeting, in which the police and army and other security forces agencies participated. Shah reached Kashmir Valley on Monday evening. He met leaders of allies like BJP and JDU. Immediately after arriving on Monday, Shah went to the house of Deputy Superintendent of Police Humayun Muzammil Bhat, who was awarded the Kirti Chakra.
Humayun Muzammil Bhat was martyred while fighting terrorists
Let us know that Humayun Muzammil Bhat gave his life in 2023 while fighting the terrorists. Before going to Raj Bhavan, the Union Home Minister spent about 20 minutes with the father of the late police officer and Inspector General of Police Inspector General of Police Ghulam Hasan Bhat. Humayun Muzammil Bhat, who was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, was among those 4 security personnel who were martyred in September 2023 while fighting terrorists in dense forests around Gudul village in Kokranag in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
