The Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition challenging the decision to conduct the NEET-PG examination in two shifts on Monday.
National Eligibility-cum-entry examination (NEET-PG) for medical postgraduate courses, 2025 will be held on computer-based platform on June 15 in two shifts. Its results will be announced by July 15.
A bench of Chief Justice BR Gawai and Justice Augustine George Christ looked at the lawyer’s arguments and said that the petition would be listed for hearing soon.
The bench had said on May 23 that the petition would be listed for hearing next week, but it did not happen. The lawyer again mentioned this on Monday.
The lawyer said, “The bench said that it would listen the matter this week. This is very important. The admit cards will be issued on June 2. ”The Chief Justice said it will be listed in a day or two.
The bench had sought a reply on the petition from NBE and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on May 5.
The petition, challenging the conduct of NEET-PG examination in two shifts, states that due to different levels of difficulty in various shifts, it is likely to have inappropriate things.
In this, NBE has been requested to be instructed to conduct the examination in the same shift. This petition has been filed by Aditi and others.
