Actually, Karnataka Home Minister When God was questioned in the case, he said, “Such incidents often happen in big cities. Whatever legal action is to be taken will be done according to the law. I have also instructed my commissioner to increase beat patrolling. ”His statement is being severely criticized, because people are considering it as taking crime lightly.
The BJP has targeted the Siddaramaiah government regarding this incident. The opposition party has said that the viral video has exposed the city’s law and order reality and claimed that Bengaluru is becoming “rapidly unsafe” for women.

The incident took place in Bharti Layout around 1.52 pm on 4 April. After this incident, both girls are seen crying and screaming. The entire heartbreaking incident was captured in CCTV camera. It can be clearly seen that the girl going on the road was sexually harassed by an unknown person. The accused managed to escape from the spot soon after the incident. CCTV showed that a person in BTM layout area is seen going to two girls in narrow street. The road is deserted and many two -wheelers stand on one side of the road. The person comes to two girls from behind and is seen touching a girl.
Regarding this, the Bangalore police said that the matter is still under investigation. The culprits will be caught soon. However, the victim has not yet filed a complaint.
Increase in crime against women in Bengaluru
At the same time, let us tell you that according to the government data shared last year, in 2023, there was an increase in crime against women in Bengaluru. In the crime case with women, the police registered about 3,260 cases, of which 1,135 cases were tampered with.
