Tirupati Temple Board discharged 18 non -Hindu employees

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has taken action against 18 employees for not following Hindu religious practices during TTD festivals and rituals. According to a TTD statement, the action was taken on the instructions of TTD President BR Naidu. The statement said, “Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), following the instructions of TTD President BR Naidu, has initiated action against employees who follow non-Hindu religious practices while working in the institute.” The statement said, “Officials have identified 18 employees, who are following non-Hindu religious traditions despite being employed by TTD. Orders have been issued against 18 identified employees, who have been issued, which have been issued. Along with participating in TTD festivals and rituals, non-Hindu is participating in religious activities. ”

TTD will take action on 18 employees

In addition, as part of efforts to maintain the spiritual integrity of TTD operation, the board has proposed to transfer these employees to other government departments or give them voluntary retirement. TTD’s statement said, “The TTD board has recently resolved to facilitate such employees to government departments or through voluntary retirement scheme (VRS). It is in line with the commitment to maintain the spiritual purity of temples and religious activities. ” Earlier in November 2024, the TTD Board also passed another resolution, according to which the non-Hindus employed by the board will have to either take voluntary retirement or choose the option of transfer to other government departments in Andhra Pradesh.

What did the president of TTD say

Talking to news agency ANI, the chairman of TTD said, “I have proposed a proposal on the board yesterday. The board unanimously accepted it. We have identified some people (employees in TTD), which non-Hindu Huh. I wanted to meet those people personally and I will request them to take VRS. This is our intention. ” The board has also passed a resolution to ban political rhetoric in Tirumala, insisting that legal action will be taken against those who make such statements or spread. TTD oversees 12 temples and sub-temples and employs over 14,000 people.
