New Delhi. The entire schedule has been released by the Election Commission for the Vice President’s election. Voting for the Vice Presidential election will be held on 9 September next month. Voting time has been scheduled from 10 am to 5 pm. After the voting is over, the counting of votes will be started and the name of the new Vice President will also be announced on the same day. The last date for nomination of candidates for the Vice Presidential election is 21 August. The nomination papers will be examined on 22 August. Enrollment will be withdrawn till 25 nominations.
Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the post of Vice President on the night of 21 July. After which the post of Vice President is running vacant and now after the election, the name of the 15th Vice President of the country will be announced on 9 September. Although Dhankhar’s tenure was till 10 August 2027, but after being present in the proceedings of the House on the first day of the current monsoon session of Parliament, Dhankhar surprised the entire country to announce his resignation. The next day on 22 July, President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignation of Dhankhar. Many speculations were made about the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar, although it is not yet clear why he suddenly left his post? The Congress and other opposition parties sought an explanation in the matter from the government.
Although Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned, citing health, but this thing is not embracing anyone. The great thing is that since resigning, Jagdeep Dhankhar has neither come in front of the media nor has he issued any statement through social media or any other. Even some leaders including Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut tried to meet him but did not meet anyone.
