Lucknow. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that minimum wage will be guaranteed to every youth working in the state. No company or appointment will be able to exploit the employee. The appointment companies will ensure minimum wages to their employees, while in addition to this, the government will take responsibility for the charge. The Chief Minister clearly said that this system will ensure respectable employment, job security and protecting their rights. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the three -day “Employment Mahakumbh 2025” held in Lucknow. Addressing the program on the occasion, he said that Uttar Pradesh is becoming the first state in the country, where every youth working is being ensured the minimum wage and minimum wage guarantee. Describing the youth as a source of immense energy, the Chief Minister said that the largest youth population of Uttar Pradesh is good luck for this state. He said that today the talent of UP is demanding in the country and the world, and the state which was once facing the brunt of migration for employment, is providing the same employment today.
Uttar Pradesh landscape changed from migration to opportunity- CM
The Chief Minister said that once the entire village used to leave the state for employment and migrate, but today the same Uttar Pradesh is providing employment opportunities within itself. This change is the result of well -planned efforts in the last 8 years. He said that today the demand for talent of UP is being demanded not only in the country but all over the world. He said that the event is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission employment and resolution of developed India. Every youth needs to get work according to his ability. Where the opportunity was found, these youth have got their talent and strength made iron.
A district-one product scheme gave new identity to traditional products- Chief Minister
The Chief Minister said that traditional enterprises have been given a new identity through the “one district-one product” (ODOP) scheme in the state. 96 lakh units have been revived in the MSME sector. During the Korona period, when more than 40 lakh migrant workers returned, these MSME units employed 90 percent, and they are still associated with the same system.
MSME units are getting an insurance cover of 5 lakhs- CM Yogi
CM Yogi informed that the state government has provided security insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to entrepreneurs who have registered MSME units. He said that if every unit is providing employment to 2 to 10 youth, then millions of people are getting respectable work in the state. This is realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Self -reliant India’.
Artisans and handicrafts are getting respect from various self -employment programs
Addressing the people, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that “Vishwakarma Shram Samman” and “PM Vishwakarma” schemes have been implemented to honor traditional artisans and handicrafts. Traditional workers like carpentry, mason, blacksmith, sonar, potter, cobbler, barber are being given free toolkit, cheap loans and training. Through this, millions of people have got employment and respect. He said that under the “CM Youth Entrepreneur Scheme”, which started on 24 January 2025, youths from 21 to 40 years of interest are being provided without guarantee interest -free loan. In this, his caste of any youth is not being provided by his face, but according to his interest, this facility is being provided to him. So far, more than 70,000 youth have established their enterprises by joining this scheme.
8.5 lakh youth got government job- CM Yogi
CM Yogi said that in the last 8 years, 8.5 lakh youth have been given government jobs with transparency. In this, a large number of appointments have also been made in Police Department, Education, Health, Agriculture, PWD and universities. In such a short time, Uttar Pradesh counts as the largest state within the country providing government jobs to such a large number of youth.
New chapter writing in the field of UP investment and industrial development
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state has become the first choice of investors due to crime and zero tolerance policy towards criminals. More than 33 sectorial policys have been implemented in the last 8 years. Transparent arrangements were made through Invest UP portal, investment friend and single window platform. As a result, investment of more than Rs 15 lakh crore has landed at the ground level and 60 lakh youth have got employment.
New technology and training of foreign languages to youth
The Chief Minister said that through the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission and Skill Development Mission, youth are being trained in new technologies such as artificial intelligence, drone technology, robotics and internet of Things. New labs and courses have been introduced in ITI and polytechnic institutions in collaboration with Tata Technology. He said that language training is also being given to the youth going abroad. Those visiting Germany are being trained in German language, Japan to Japanese and in other countries, their languages are being trained so that after reaching there, the youth do not have to face difficulty due to training or language. He also said that not every technology is always the same, it changes according to the time, we have to update ourselves according to the demand of the society.
CM Yogi gave special emphasis on the safety of workers
The Chief Minister said that labor laws are being improved keeping both protecting the interests of workers and the smoothness of industries. He said that the workers will not be allowed to be exploited through any outsourcing company. It will be mandatory to get the full salary of the worker, while the additional charge will be borne at its level. The Chief Minister said that this employment Mahakumbh is a platform to connect the youth and the industry. This will not only provide jobs but will also fix training and courses according to the demand for new technology. He said that only when workers and Annadata are happy, only then the country and the state will be happy. As soon as this is ensured, no strength of the world will stop developing India and developed Uttar Pradesh.
