On Monday afternoon, a private agency’s collection van on Gurugram-Sohna road, just 100 meters away from Gurugram Sadar police station, was robbed of Rs 1 crore in broad daylight by miscreants at gunpoint. The miscreants escaped from the spot in broad daylight by carrying out the loot of crores in film style.
After getting information about the incident, there was a stir in Gurugram police. In addition to the top police officers on the spot, crime branch teams have reached the spot and started investigation. More than half a dozen police teams have started arresting the accused including the investigation of this case.
According to the information received from the police, three employees of SNIV company had left for collection in the morning with the cash van. After collecting cash from different places, they were given the responsibility of depositing it in HDFC Bank located in Sector-53 in the afternoon. On Monday, he reached Infocity in Sector-34 of Gurugram after taking cash from Delhi airport and a hotel. After taking money from there, he reached the agency of Maruti Company located in Subhash Chowk. The collection van was parked on Sohna road and from there an employee went to the agency to collect cash, while two employees remained sitting in the van.
At the same time, three to four miscreants came and as soon as they came, they looted one crore rupees at gunpoint by putting chilli in the eyes of the van driver Ranjit and Vipin sitting behind in the collection van. By the time the employees sitting in the collection van could understand something, the miscreants fled from the spot.
After the information of the robbery, various teams of police including DCP East Virendra Vij, DCP Crime Ranveer Deswal, ACP DLF Sanjeev Balara, ACP Crime Preetpal reached the spot and started investigation. The police is interrogating the three employees of the company separately, while the police is also scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby to nab the miscreants.
