Bijapur. The 12th annual board examination has started in the district from March 2. The first day English paper has started across the district in its scheduled time. There was great enthusiasm among the students who came to take the examination. MR Kashyap and RK Bhoy, appointed in the Higher Secondary School and POTA Cabin Examination Center, Gangalur, said that even after being a hypersensitive area, there is enthusiasm among the children about the examination, the children are giving the exam in a free environment.
In the 12th English paper, 60 students were present out of 64 students. There were four absent. The students have been seated in the center as per the rules of the board examination. The question paper in the board exam has been received in three sets. All necessary facilities have been made in the center with the supervisor. The head of the center said that the examination is being conducted peacefully due to the presence of two examination centers in Gangalur.
District Education Officer Pramod Thakur informed that 1976 students are appearing in the examination at 30 examination centers in the 12th board examination in the district. Due to the COVID period, there has been an adverse effect on the studies of the students. The children are called upon to take the examination free from stress and fear.
Center heads have been appointed at the institution level across the district, principals and senior lecturers of the institution have been made center heads. Clear instructions have been given to the center heads to maintain secrecy in the annual examination and conduct the examination peacefully. To prevent copying, 4 flying squad teams have been constituted at the district level and 4-4 flying squad teams at the block level and have been given the responsibility of regular inspection in the examination. The timing of the board exam is scheduled from 9 am to 12.15 am.
10th board exam starts from thursday
The 10th board exam will start from March 3. In this regard, District Education Officer Pramod Thakur said that 33 examination centers have been set up. 2639 students will appear in the examination in 33 examination centers in the district. Center heads have been appointed in all high schools. The question papers have been distributed within the stipulated time. The District Education Officer has instructed the examination in-charge to provide all necessary facilities including seating arrangements in all the examination centers. Board exams being held in vulnerable areas like Bedre to Palmed. Relief to the students of Palmed, 45 km away had to come to Basaguda for examination.
There is a lot of enthusiasm among the students due to the presence of board exam centers for the first time in the vulnerable areas of Palmed, Bedre, Mirtur, Farsegarh, Tarlaguda, Ilmidi. Earlier these students had to go to another center to take the exam.
Mani Ram Kashyap, the principal and center head of Bedre told that the children are enthusiastic about the examination. 19 students registered in the first paper English subject, 18 students out of girl students, girl students have appeared in the examination, one student is absent.
Bedre Principal told that the question paper has been submitted to the police station for the sake of security. Security has also been provided on the exam period. The principal in-charge of Cherpal told that 54 students have given the examination on the day of English paper. 5 students remained absent. Question paper has been deposited in Bijapur police station for security purpose. After the examination, the answer sheets are being deposited in the police station.
Relief to the students due to the board examination at the level
Pamed center head Satyanarayana said that the students have got a lot of relief due to the board examination at the institution level. Had to go to Basaguda 45 km away to give the exam. Along with this, the children also had to bring one month’s ration and essential items. To live, accommodation had to be taken on rent. Due to the examination at the local level, the tension and fear in the minds of the children has been relieved. On Wednesday, out of 18 children who appeared in the Class XII English paper, 15 children have appeared for the examination. 3 children were found absent. The exam has been completed under police protection. Pamed, the remotest village of Bijapur district, is adjacent to the Telangana border. Its distance from the district headquarter Bijapur is about 100 km. Pamed is reached after covering a distance of 200 km through Telangana in the rain.
In some centers, the examination is being conducted without security.
According to the information received, examinations are being conducted in some higher and high schools of the district without security guards. The first paper was completed without security in Cherpal Higher Secondary School. Similarly, in the district where there is no police station including Papanpal, Itpal, Chandur, Dugaiguda, Murkinar, the center head will conduct the examination without security. The students and the teachers of the institution have been relieved from stress due to the institution level being the center of the board exam, while the parents of Cherpal were told that earlier the students had to go to Gangalur with one month’s ration and essential items. Along with this, a room had to be taken on rent for a month. We have got rid of all these tensions. Along with this, expenses have been saved over time.
