Let us tell you that MSC Aries is the name of the ship which has been taken into its possession by Iran. There are 17 Indian citizens on board this ship. External Affairs Ministry sources said they are in touch with Iranian authorities through diplomatic channels in both Tehran and Delhi to ensure their early release. MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) said it is working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of the 25 crew members and the return of the ship.
