Kochi: 200 kg of heroin was seized in a Pakistani boat on Friday off the coast of Kochi in South India. It has been seized in the joint action of Indian Navy and NCB. Its value has been estimated at crores of rupees. During this, six foreign nationals have been arrested. According to the officials of NCB i.e. Narcotics Control Bureau, the value of 200 kg heroin seized from the Pakistani boat caught from the spot has been estimated to be around Rs 2000 crore.
If sources are to be believed, the arrested people could be Pakistanis. It will be confirmed soon. According to the police, the operation was a joint operation of the Indian Navy and the NCB.
Not only in Kochi but in the meantime the action of NCB has taken place at many places in Mumbai along with Jamnagar in Gujarat. NCB has given information about this by holding a press conference. The NCB said that the MD along with 60 kg of mephdrone worth around Rs 120 crore has been recovered from the spot. Along with this, a big gang has also been busted here. During this NCB raid, six were arrested along with the gangsters of Pakistani gangs.
After this action of NCB, according to DDG SK Singh, one of those arrested has been identified as Sohail Ghaffar. According to him, he worked as a pilot from 2016 to 2018. Preliminary investigation by NCB has revealed that there is a consistency in both the seizures. The value of the total MD drug recovered in this action has been estimated to be around 120 crores. Actually the team got a lead from this raid. On this basis, 50 kg of MD drugs were recovered in the raid on the godown. Two people including the kingpin have been arrested here. The team is engaged in further inquiries.
