New Delhi. A very explosive match was played in the Indian Premier League on Saturday. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 199 runs at the loss of 8 wickets on the basis of Krunal Pandya’s stormy innings after Quinton de Kock’s fifty. Chasing the target, Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan along with Jonny Bairstow made a stormy start but the 21-year-old debutant bowler changed the course of the match by taking consecutive wickets. After losing 5 wickets the team could reach only 178 runs in 20 overs. Lucknow won the match by 21 runs.
Mayank Yadav shines on debut
Mayank Yadav, who made his debut in the Indian Premier League for Lucknow Super Kings, stunned everyone with his explosive fast ball. For 21 years, this bowler gave the team its first success by dismissing Jonny Bairstow, who was batting fast, in 11.4 overs. After this, he stopped the storm of Prabhsimran Singh and then brought Lucknow back into the match by taking the wicket of an aggressive batsman like Jitesh Sharma. This young man took 3 wickets for 17 runs and changed the course of the match.
Dhawan and Bairstow’s stormy partnership is useless
Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow made a wonderful start for Punjab Kings, who were chasing 200 runs against Lucknow. Together they made a partnership of 100 runs for the team in just 62 balls. Punjab lost the first wicket on the score of 102 runs and after this the team could not make a comeback. Shikhar Dhawan played an inning of 70 runs on 50 balls but could not lead the team to victory.
Krunal Pandya’s stormy batting
Lucknow Super Giants team was looking in trouble at one time. After the dismissal of captain Nicholas Pooran, it seemed difficult for the team to score a big score. Krunal Pandya came here and played an unbeaten inning of 43 runs with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes in just 22 balls, taking the team to 199 runs. De Kock played an inning of 54 runs in the opening while captain Puran scored 42 runs.
