The young man is being described as the shooter
According to sources, three persons have been arrested and charged with murder on the day Nijjar was murdered outside the Gurudwara in Surrey, British Columbia. During that time, these people worked as shooters, drivers etc. CTV News quoted a senior government source as saying that three people have been arrested and charged with Nijjar’s murder.
Identification as an Indian citizen
Court documents revealed that Karanpreet Singh, Kamalpreet Singh and Karan Brar are accused of murdering Nijjar and conspiring to murder. In a report by Global News, the suspects have been identified as Indian citizens. It was said, ‘Canadian police detained Indian nationals on Friday morning, almost a year after Nijjar was shot dead.’
The accused had come on student visa
According to sources, the suspects had entered Canada on student visas, but may have been acting on instructions from Indian intelligence when they shot Nijjar. Speaking to reporters on Parliament Hill, Canada’s Defense Minister refused to confirm the Indian government’s connection and said that only the Canadian Police can answer this question better.
