New Delhi. A very sensational case has come to light in Subroto Park area of South Delhi. Here, four people were carrying black flags on two bicycles from Jharera flyover. When the police got a little suspicious after seeing them, they stopped them and checked them. When the police opened the bag they were carrying, they were shocked. About Rs 3 crore cash was kept in that bag, which is believed to be hawala money. After the recovery of these notes, the police took those four people into custody and also confiscated their motorcycle.
A senior Delhi Police officer said, ‘We had received intelligence that four people were carrying a large amount of cash on two motorcycles. A team from Subroto Park police post set up barricades in the area and started searching the vehicles.

‘Hawala money suspicion’
He told that the police team stopped four people riding on two motorcycles who were carrying two big black flags. The officer said, ‘The team recovered around Rs 3 crore from two bags. We suspect that this is ‘Hawala’ money and investigation has been started.

Suspicion on scrap dealer
Delhi Police has identified the accused as Mohammad Shomin, Jishan, Danish and Santosh, all aged between 22 and 27 years, residents of Shahdara area. He told that all of them were going from Gurugram to Chandni Chowk. Police sources said that this alleged hawala money belongs to a person named Mohammad Vakil Malik, who works as a scrap dealer in Shahdara.
The police officer said, ‘Following the guidelines of the Election Commission, this information has been given to senior officials of the Election Flying Squad and Income Tax officials.’ (With language and IANS inputs)
