Khandwa (Representative of New Zealand). The traffic police recovered Rs 42600 from 183 vehicles. This action has been taken by the police in a special operation of 15 days. Fines have been collected from those who talk on mobile without helmet, over speed and while driving. However, even after the challan action of the police, the number of people following the traffic rules is very less. People are not fully aware about following the rules.
A special drive was launched in the district by the Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh as soon as the traffic week ended. In this, instructions were given to take action only against those who talk on mobile without helmet, over speed and while driving. The traffic traffic police has taken action in this campaign starting from February 14. 39 vehicles were caught running in over speed near Choti Chaigaon on Indore Road. The speed of the vehicles was tracked with the help of a state-of-the-art undertaking engaged in the Interceptor Vehicle. Actually, there is a board for speed control in Chhoti Chaigaon. In this, the speed of vehicles while passing through the village has been fixed at 20 km per hour. The police tracked the vehicles running at speeds of 60, 80 and 90 kmph here. 41 thousand rupees were recovered from the drivers.
More number of challans for those without helmets
There is a lack of awareness among two wheeler drivers regarding the use of helmets. In this regard, in the Road Safety Week, the police had also taken out a helmet awareness rally. Along with this, efforts were also made to make people aware to use helmets. Street plays were also organized in educational institutions and public places. Despite this, drivers are not using helmets. This has come to the fore in the action taken by the police soon after the week. Police has made challans of 134 vehicles. 33 thousand 500 rupees have been recovered from the drivers. Similarly, 10 drivers have been caught talking on mobile phones while driving. 5 thousand rupees were recovered from them.
