Dewas (Representative of New Zealand). The exercise of connecting girls with education will start again in the district. With the aim of making the school children regularize their education again, the Women and Child Development Department will start the Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav campaign in the district from March 7. The main objective of the campaign is to identify and re-admit the school-aged girls in the age group of 11 to 14 years. There are about 497 girls in the district who have dropped out of school. Such girls will again be linked with education under the Kanya Shiksha Pravesh Utsav. The highest number of dropouts in the district have been reported in Bagli, Kannad and Khategaon. The Women and Child Development Department will lay emphasis on the education of all such adolescent girls who have left their studies midway. Through this campaign, efforts will be made to educate as many girls as possible. The overall goal of the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, launched in the year 2015, is to celebrate the birth of a girl child and educate and enable them. The survey is conducted every year in the month of April by the Department of Women and Child Development. In this, information is collected on such adolescent girls in the age group of 11 to 14 years who have dropped out of school. Have not taken admission in school or taken admission once, but not going to school. Or have stopped going to school for some time. Take home ration is also given to such beneficiary girls.
-The economic condition would have been bad, being away from school is also a reason
Diet Pracharya and District Adult Education Officer Dr. Rajendra Saxena told that there are many reasons for girls being away from education.
The biggest thing is education. Many parents are not very educated. That’s why they are not interested in providing more education to the children. When children are weak in studies, their relatives drop out of school. At the same time, the distance of schools in the areas also forces the girl to leave the school.
Saxena said that we are trying to bring the children to school. Saakshar Bharat program will run. Will try to add it from 1st April also. Continuous awareness will also be given.
