Made in India 5G network to be available from 2022
Bharti Airtel and the Tata Group announced a strategic partnership to implement a five-G network solution in India. According to the statement issued by both the companies, the guidelines issued by Airtel Government of India and the five-G network plan will be implemented on an initial basis by January 2022. Both announced that a five-G network solution would be available in India. This means that the country will no longer have a foreign or Chinese five-G network but a domestic network.
The Tata Group has developed state-of-the-art O-RAN based radios and NSA/SA cores, a statement said. This core is developed purely on indigenous basis. This will enhance the capability of both the companies to implement the five-G network solution in the country. The company said that the Tata group has developed its technology. The network will be available for commercial use from January 2022. Airtel will use Tata group technology to launch its five-G network in India from January 2022. Initially, it will be implemented through a pilot project. The company says that the 5G products and solutions being developed in India are being developed keeping in mind the global standards.
Let us tell you that if the five-G solution being developed in India becomes successful in the pilot project of Airtel, then the possibility of export of indigenous five-G solution also increases. Five-G solutions are the second largest telecom market in the world.
