The Revenue Intelligence Directorate (DRI) team has carried out a large and sensational action against gold smuggling at Jaipur Airport. In this campaign, two accused, including Ajay Fagadia, the mastermind of gold smuggling, have been arrested. Authorities have seized 772 grams of gold from him, whose market price is said to be around 70 lakh rupees.
Riyadh came to Jaipur from Arab flight
The DRI had received information from intelligence sources that a passenger is coming to Jaipur from Riyadh by Air Arabia flight and may have illegal gold. When this passenger was investigated in depth, nothing suspect was initially found. But when his X -ray was done with the permission of the court, the shocking truth came out – the gold paste was hidden in his rectum.

When the passenger was questioned, the name of the mastermind of the entire network came out- Ajay Fagadia, a resident of Bhadwasi, Sikar. He had been implicating the unemployed youths of Sikar and Nagaur in this business for a long time. He used it as a carrier and taught them how to bring gold from the international airport as a paste. In return, these youths were paid from Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 per trip.
The case is related to a large international syndicate.
Big disclosure of DRI: There may be more arrests! Intelligence agencies believe that the matter is not limited to Ajay Fagadia, but its wires may be associated with a large international syndicate. The DRI team is now preparing to identify other members of this network and arrest them.
Further action and investigation arrested both the accused were produced in the court on 27 March 2025, where they are being questioned further. There are still many major revelations in this case and more arrests are likely to happen soon.
