In the last 24 hours of Israel-Hamas war, Israeli bombing has again taken the lives of 82 people. A statement from Hamas’ health ministry said at least 82 deaths had occurred in Gaza in the past 24 hours. The Hamas Health Ministry said on Friday that at least 32,070 people have been killed in the more than five-month war between Israel and Palestinian militants. This also includes the death of a large number of children.
From this claim of Hamas, the massacre in Gaza can be easily estimated. To stop the continuous massacre in Gaza, America once again presented a ceasefire proposal in the United Nations, but Russia and China rejected this proposal by exercising their veto power. Gaza’s ministry said 74,298 people have been injured in the Gaza Strip so far in the war that began after the October 7 attack. A large number of these people have become disabled.
Now ceasefire in Gaza difficult
After Russia and China rejected the ceasefire proposal brought by America, now it seems difficult to bring peace in Gaza. During the voting in the fifteen-member Security Council, 11 members voted in favor and three against it and one member remained absent. Before the vote, Russia’s UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said Russia supported an immediate ceasefire, but he questioned the language of the resolution.
He accused US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield of “misleading the international community” for “political” reasons. Earlier, US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said she was hopeful that a new draft resolution would be approved by the 15-member council on Friday. But this did not happen.
