The country’s leading automaker Tata Motors has established its presence in the EV segment of the Indian market, although now the long-range version of the Tata Nexon EV is coming with a better range in this segment. A production version of the long-range Nexon EV has been spotted testing on the outskirts of Pune, though the testing mule was completely covered.
How much driving range will be available in the new model
One of the most talked about changes in the new long-range version of the Tata Nexon EV will be a new 40 kWh lithium-ion battery in place of the 30.2 kWh battery. Obviously, the bigger battery will provide longer driving range range. Currently, the Tata Nexon is capable of delivering a range of up to 312 km, while if reports are to be believed, the new model will be capable of delivering a driving range of 400 km.
Design will be similar to the current model
Let us tell you, this long-range Tata Nexon is in the works for a long time, and the new spy from the testing mule shows that the new model is almost ready, and is nearing the launch. As a design, the new Nexon will retain the styling of the existing Tata Nexon with 16-inch machined alloy wheels with blue highlights on the front grille, front fog lamp surround, rear reflector surround, boot lid and shoulder-line on the side profile. A new design may be given.
