Nagpur . A teenager committed suicide by jumping off a moving train on Saturday after a family protest against a love affair in Kempty, 20 km from here. Both are residents of the old city area of Kempty. He was missing for two days. The girl’s mother had lodged a missing complaint with the Kamptee police station two days ago.
Kamptee Police Inspector Santosh Vairagade said, on Saturday morning, the police were informed that two bodies were lying on the railway track near the Kanhan river bridge. Both have allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the Howrah-Ahmedabad Express train. The parents of both the deceased were against their love affair and proposed marriage.
The boy was 18 years old and the girl was 17 years old. Both the parents strongly opposed the marriage. The two had fled their respective homes six days ago to the house of a relative of the boy. Police said their missing complaint was registered two days ago.
