Raun (Naiduniya News). On the road connecting Raun to Achalpura, an overloaded truck rammed into the pole of the 11 KV high tension line on the roadside. The truck then overturned uncontrollably. There was no loss of life in this accident, but due to the breaking of the electric pole, the power supply system came to a standstill in eight villages of Raun area.
According to the information, between one and two o’clock on Saturday night, a truck full of sand coming at a high speed hit the pole of 11 KV high tension line on the main road of Anchalpura village. Due to this, power supply remained closed till late Sunday evening in more than 8 villages including Jaitpura, Hamirpura, Bohara, Badrea, Achalpura, Chachipura. At the same time, due to the overturned truck on the road, the drivers passing through this route had to face the problems of jam many times throughout the day.
Demand to ban the movement of heavy vehicles
People of Achalpura village say that dumpers, trucks and tractor-trolleys full of sand come out of this route throughout the day. Because of this, there is always a possibility of accidents happening here. Also, due to heavy vehicular traffic, this road has also been uprooted at places. Demands have been made many times to stop the movement of heavy vehicles on this route. But even after this no hearing is taking place.
Power supply in rural areas is closed due to breaking of electric poles. The workers have been directed to fix the power poles and damaged lines.
