New Delhi. MLA from Mau Sadar seat Abbas Ansari, lodged in Kasganj jail, has got relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has given conditional permission to Abbas to attend the prayer meeting of his father late Bahubali Mukhtar Ansari. The court has ordered Abbas that during this period he will neither talk to the media nor give any speech. This prayer meeting is to be held on June 10 in Mukhtar Ansari’s native village Ghazipur.
Abbas will be brought from Kasganj jail to Ghazipur jail on June 9 to attend his father’s prayer meeting. After this, he will attend the prayer meeting on June 10 while in police custody. Apart from this, Abbas will be able to spend time with his family on 11 and 12 June. On June 13, Abbas will be shifted back to Kasganj jail. Earlier, the Supreme Court had also given permission to MLA Abbas Ansari to read Fatiha at the grave of Mukhtar Ansari. Fatiha was read on the grave of deceased Mukhtar Ansari on 10 April.
The court had also allowed Abbas Ansari to meet his family on April 11 and 12. Abbas Ansari was taken from Kasganj jail to his home in Ghazipur in police custody. Let us tell you that after the death of Mukhtar Ansari, Abbas had sought permission from the court to attend his funeral, which was not accepted, due to which Abbas was not able to attend his father’s funeral. It is noteworthy that after his health deteriorated late on March 28, Mukhtar was taken from Banda Jail to Rani Durgavati Medical College for treatment where he died during treatment. In the post-mortem report, the cause of Mukhtar’s death has been stated to be heart attack.
