Lucknow. Don Mukhtar Ansari, imprisoned in UP’s Banda Jail, is having bad days. Now the Enforcement Directorate ED’s eyes have turned against his henchmen too. According to sources, the ED is now gathering information about the illegal assets of Mukhtar’s henchmen. Apart from this, the Directorate has also registered a case of money laundering against Mukhtar’s special henchman Shakeel Haider. According to sources, Shakeel is a resident of Sheeshmahal in Hussainabad, Lucknow and is currently imprisoned in Lucknow Jail. The ED team is now going to investigate his properties and start the work of confiscation of them. This action of ED has created panic among Mukhtar and his accomplices.
On the other hand, the ED has sent a letter to the Lucknow Development Authority seeking a list of the properties of Mukhtar and his close relatives in Lucknow district. After investigation of all the properties, action can be taken to confiscate them. It is being told that there are 19 such properties in Lucknow, which belong to Mukhtar and his henchmen. According to ED sources, Mukhtar himself has collected properties in the name of close friends to save his life. In such a situation, there is a preparation to give a blow to Mukhtar by confiscating every single property.
Even before this, the ED and Income Tax have attached all the properties of Mukhtar. Apart from this, the Yogi government of UP has demolished the illegal occupation of Mukhtar with a bulldozer. Mukhtar was in jail in Punjab during Congress rule. After a long legal battle in the Supreme Court, the UP government managed to bring him here. Since then Mukhtar is in Banda jail. Mukhtar’s son Abbas has been elected MLA from Mau on Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) ticket this time in the assembly elections.
