After America, now bad news has come from Scotland for Indians. Two Indian students have died in Scotland. The age of both the students was 26 and 22 years. Both students died due to drowning in water. Indian students found dead in water at a tourist spot in Scotland. The bodies of both were recovered from Linn of Tummel Waterfall on Wednesday night. The waterfall is in the north-west of Scotland where the rivers Garry and Tummel meet. These students had come to visit a tourist place with four other friends, during which a tragic accident took place.

According to the information, four friends had gone towards Linn of Tummel waterfall for trekking. Meanwhile, two students fell into the water and died due to drowning. Friends of the deceased students called emergency services. After receiving the information, police reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Both the students who were victims of the accident were pursuing their Masters from the University of Dundee, Scotland.
The university assured help
Regarding the incident, the police said, “On Wednesday night, 26-year-old Jeetendranath Karuturi and 22-year-old Chanakya Bolisetty were swept away in the Linn of Tummel.” Both the students died due to drowning, apart from this there does not seem to be any other reason.” After this accident, Dundee University has assured all possible help.
Dead body will be sent to India
An official of the Indian High Commission in London said the bodies of the two students were recovered downstream from the waterfall. An official said, “The Indian Consulate General has contacted the families of both the students. A representative of the Embassy has also met a student living in Britain. The post-mortem of both the students will be conducted on Friday and after that the official said. After this, the process of sending the dead bodies back to India will be started.
