After a long wait of eight years, the train service between India and Nepal is going to start again. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuwa will jointly inaugurate the operation from Hyderabad House to Jaynagar-Janakpur-Kurtha in Delhi on Saturday. The inaugural program will be organized both at Jayanagar and Janakpur. Live telecast of the inaugural program to be held at Hyderabad House Delhi will be shown at stations (Jayanagar and Janakpur) of both the countries.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the inaugural event. Apart from SSB, officials of RAW, Intelligence, District and Nepal Police are investigating every aspect of security. Monitoring of the track has been done by officers, police force and dog squad. With the start of rail service, the relationship between the two countries will be further strengthened. This will further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Train will run at 140 kmph
The DMU train will run between India and Nepal, whose speed will be 140 km. 1600 HP engine has been installed in DMU train running between Madhubani’s Jaynagar-Kurtha. Modernized according to the convenience of the passengers. There is a toilet in every coach of the train. Out of total five coaches, one is AC coach. 1100 passengers can travel in a train. Nepal Railways will charge Nepalese 60 rupees (Indian Rupees 37.50) for Jaynagar to Janakpur station, Nepalese 70 rupees (Indian Rupees 43.75) for Jaynagar to Kurtha journey and Nepalese 300 rupees (Indian Rupees 187.50) for AC. To travel in the train, you must have a photo ID card.
