Narendra Modi
The results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 held in India have come out. The BJP-led NDA alliance has crossed the majority mark. In the election, the NDA has won 292 seats, while the opposition alliance has won 232 seats. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has emerged as the largest alliance. During the election, the BJP had given the slogan ‘Abki Baar 400 Paar’, due to which it has lagged far behind. At present, after the victory of the NDA alliance, Narendra Modi is going to become the Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. Elections were held in India, but what kind of commotion was there in Pakistan… let us tell you in this report.
Pakistan’s eyes were fixed on the results
Pakistan was keenly watching the results of the Lok Sabha elections in India. Pakistan’s newspaper ‘Dawn’ gave a lot of coverage to the Indian elections on its website. An article in Dawn said that PM Modi’s coalition surprisingly won by a small margin in the vote counting in India. The BJP lost in Ayodhya itself, where the Ram temple was inaugurated. The article also highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s statement that the voters have punished the BJP. Dawn also said that the victory of Modi’s Hindu nationalists for the third time will once again increase the fear among the Muslims of India.
Pakistani leaders looked happy
This is about the media, but when BJP could not cross the majority mark on its own, the happiest were Pakistani leaders. Fawad Chaudhary, who was a minister in Imran Khan’s government in Pakistan, expressed happiness over the reduction in BJP’s seats compared to 2019. Fawad said that he had hoped that the people of India would reject Narendra Modi and his ideology. This is what has happened, the claims made about BJP have failed.
A hindrance to India’s elections
Fawad Chaudhary is among those Pakistani leaders who have been continuously making statements on the Indian elections. He has repeatedly appealed to the people of India to defeat Narendra Modi. Fawad had described Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a good leader during the elections. When asked the reason for his statements on the Indian elections, Chaudhary had said that Pakistanis want to see Rahul as PM because under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India is moving towards majoritarianism. This is not good for India and its neighbors. In such a situation, we should support whoever defeats Narendra Modi among Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal or Mamta Banerjee.
Expressed happiness over the release of Kejriwal
Earlier, when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out of Tihar Jail, Fawad Chaudhary had expressed happiness over his release. Then Fawad Chaudhary had reacted by saying that this is a good news for moderate India. Former Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhary has been commenting on India’s elections and internal affairs earlier as well. He has garnered attention by making absurd comments on Indian issues.
pakistan came on muslim
Apart from Fawad Chaudhary, Omar R Qureshi, who was the foreign minister in the previous government of Shahbaz Sharif, also reacted. Qureshi wrote on Instagram, ‘Muslims of India must be breathing a collective sigh of relief today – perhaps…’. He wrote, ‘Even one seat less than 350 will be seen as a big setback for the BJP. Even if Modi forms the government for the third time, it will be his weakest government till date.’
