Patna After the defeat of the NDA candidate in the Bochahan assembly by-election of Bihar, now its ‘side effect’ is also visible. Janata Dal United, which is included in the NDA, has now demanded a coordination committee in the NDA. The result of the Bochahan by-election is being considered as a big political message and the lack of coordination between the parties involved in the NDA is being considered as a major reason behind this defeat. In this by-election, RJD candidate Amar Paswan defeated Baby Kumari of BJP by over 36,000 votes.
After this defeat, JDU Parliamentary Board Chairman Upendra Kushwaha demanded the formation of a coordination committee in the NDA, saying that unnecessary disputes arising in Bihar NDA can be avoided by the formation of the committee.
He said that earlier there used to be such a committee in Bihar NDA but at present it has been abolished.
It is believed that in the Bochahan by-election, the BJP candidate had to face defeat due to the displeasure of his own people. The party VIP candidate who was out of NDA caused a lot of damage to the BJP candidate. VIP candidate Geeta Kumari got more than 29,000 votes.
JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha says that there is a need for better coordination between JDU, BJP and other allies. However, he does not consider this defeat as a setback for the NDA.
He said that there was no coordination in the NDA in this election, due to which it was defeated. He also said that controversy has arisen in recent times over the unnecessary statements of leaders of the parties involved in NDA, if the coordination committee had been there, such controversies could have been avoided.
