On July 6, the term of 12 members of the Legislative Council ended in the state, out of which six belonged to the Samajwadi Party. With this, the term of three members of Bahujan Samaj Party, two of Bharatiya Janata Party and one member of Congress also ended. Elections have also been held in these 12 seats. Both BJP members were re-elected in the election, including Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Bhupendra Singh Choudhary. At the same time, no other member has been able to return to the Legislative Council.
