New Delhi. The Central Government has implemented the Agniveer scheme for the recruitment of soldiers of the Indian Army. Under this scheme, the jawans will be recruited for 4 years. Out of which 25 per cent jawans will be taken into service on the basis of their work. Under this, now recruitments are being organized for the army at different places. There is also a big craze among the youth to join under Agniveer. But in the meantime, the officials of the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab are not cooperating in the Agniveer recruitment. This has been disclosed by the English newspaper ‘The Indian Express’ quoting a letter from the army. The newspaper was quoted as saying that the army has written in a letter sent to the Mann government that it is not being helped by the local administration in Punjab. Now a new update has come out regarding this news. After the strictness of the army, now the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has woken up.
After the news surfaced, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has spoken of cooperating in the Agneepath scheme. CM Bhagwant Mann has issued written instructions to the District Deputy Commissioners of all the districts. He also said that all the DCs in Punjab would cooperate on the Agneepath scheme. Let us inform that the Mann government of Punjab has opposed the recruitment in the army under the Agneepath scheme.
All Deputy commissioners were directed to provide complete support to Army Authorities
for recruitment of Agnivers in Punjab.
Any flexibility shall be viewed seriously.

The newspaper has cited the letter of Zonal Recruiting Officer Major General Sharad Bikram Singh. He has sent this letter to Punjab Chief Secretary VK Janjua and Principal Secretary, Employment, Skill and Training Department Kumar Rahul. Let us tell you that the Army had given an ultimatum to the Punjab government regarding the Agneepath scheme if the local administration would not cooperate. Then the recruitment of the army will have to be postponed or the recruitment in Punjab will have to be stopped. Not only this, the army had even warned the Punjab government that these recruitments would be transferred to the neighboring states.
