The Border Security Force has cautioned its soldiers. The SSB has directed that all soldiers should not store their personal information in their mobile phones. He has also said that if his phone ever falls into the wrong hands, it can lead to a dangerous situation.
On Tuesday, SSB officials said a recent circular was issued asking personnel and staff to avoid sharing official orders on WhatsApp and discussing operational matters on social media. In fact, a few days ago, an officer posted at a sensitive location was found sharing information about the Army and Central Force with another organization.
The circular of the Border Security Force, which guards a border of 1751 km with Nepal and 699 km with Bhutan, said that such instances are a threat to national security and create a wrong image of the Border Security Force.
It has been said in the circular that all soldiers should note down the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) code of their mobile and keep it in a safe place, so that the mobile can be protected from any unknown access. Along with this, in case of theft or loss of mobile, the phone can be blocked immediately.
In this circular of the Border Security Force, it has also been said that all soldiers should uninstall the Truecaller mobile app from their mobile or smartphone. Also, soldiers should avoid sharing photos or videos of soldiers, military or any military activity on social media.
