Many models of Fitbit Ionic have been complaining about overheating.
Fitbit has recalled the watch after complaints of overheating and fire in the Fitbit Ionic and has announced a refund of $299 (about Rs 22,700) to customers. Apart from this, the company has announced a 40 percent discount on other Fitbit devices in the US.
Fitbit has received about 174 complaints about the Fitbit Ionic getting hot, while 118 people have complained of burns. There are also two cases in which there is complaint of third degree burns.
