The statement said that this year is the 75th year of relations between Nepal and the US. During these 75 years, Nepal has seen many changes. We have stood by Nepal during these changes and have been with Nepal for assistance in development, disaster, health, education and other areas.
The US and Nepal signed a $500 million deal in 2017. Under the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the US is going to provide $ 500 million for the development of infrastructure projects here. The statement said that the MCC is a gift from American citizens to Nepal.
In this agreement, there is a mention of the US to build an ultra high-voltage transmission line of electricity in Nepal. Using this, Nepal will be able to sell electricity to India. Along with this, some road projects are also to be developed. India’s approval is also necessary in this agreement.
