New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday congratulated the security forces for the operation against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. During this, he wrote that the Narendra Modi government is determined to free the country from the sting of Naxalism. Shah wrote that due to the aggressive policy of the government and the efforts of the security forces, today Naxalism has been reduced to a small area. Soon Chhattisgarh and the entire country will be completely free from Naxalism.

I congratulate all the security personnel who made this operation successful with their bravery and wish the speedy recovery of the brave police personnel who have been injured. The Home Minister said that Naxalism is the biggest enemy of development, peace and the bright future of the youth. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are determined to free the country from the sting of Naxalism.
Soldiers killed 29 Naxalites
It is noteworthy that 29 Naxalites were killed in an encounter by security forces in Naxal-affected Kanker district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. Three soldiers were also injured in this incident. Police officials gave this information. Big Naxalite leaders are also likely to be included among the killed Naxalites. This is the first time after the formation of Chhattisgarh state that such a large number of Naxalites have been killed in an encounter.

The police officer said that according to preliminary information, bodies of 29 Naxalites, a huge quantity of weapons including AK-47 rifle, SLR rifle, INSAS rifle and .303 gun have been recovered from the spot. Voting in Naxal-affected Bastar Lok Sabha seat will be held in the first phase on April 19 and in Kanker seat, voting will be held in the second phase of general elections on April 26.
