Jaipur . State Government to eliminate a large number of pending cases of VCR related to power theft and misuse and thereby
Jaipur Discom has implemented Amnesty Scheme in compliance with the announcement made in the budget to provide relief to consumers/non-consumers by speedy disposal of related complaints. Under this scheme, in cases of power theft and misuse, VCRs filled by December 31, 2021 will be disposed of. The scheme will be effective from 1st April, 2022 to 30th September, 2022.
Jaipur Discom Managing Director Ajit Kumar Saxena informed that this special scheme has been implemented for a period of six months from 1st April for the final disposal of pending VCRs till 31st December, 2021. With this, on the one hand, the Corporation will get additional revenue due to disposal of a large number of pending Vigilance Inquiry Reports, while on the other hand the complaints of consumers/non-consumers related to VCR will also be resolved. He said that the officers of Vigilance and O&M Wing have been given the responsibility to fix the pending VCRs up to December 31, 2021, in which the revenue has not yet been determined, by March 25, 2022 to the concerned consumers/non-profits. Will issue notices to consumers. Under the amnesty scheme of VCR disposal, Assistant Engineers of the sub-division have been authorized for final disposal of pending VCRs up to 31st December, 2021. Under the scheme, by depositing 50% of the amount of civil liability or misuse up to Rs.
The matter will be settled by the concerned Assistant Engineer only. If the amount of civil liability or misuse is more than Rs 1 lakh, then 50% of the amount of Rs 1 lakh and 10% of the amount above 1 lakh and full compounding amount will be disposed of by the Assistant Engineer by the Assistant Engineer.
Saxena said that under the scheme, the fixed amount of VCR has to be deposited by the consumer in 6 equated monthly installments free of interest.
Provision has been made but the non-consumer will have to deposit the amount in one go. In cases of electricity theft, VCR filled in, in which challan has been presented in the court, such cases will not be disposed of under this scheme. In the cases of electricity theft, the person who has filed a case in the courts will be able to get the benefit of this scheme on presenting an affidavit to withdraw the case.
Understand this way: If the amount of VCR on a subscriber is Rs. 1,00,000/-. 50,000/- (50 percent) deposited by him, the VCR will be disposed of. 1,10,000/- if the VCR amount is Rs. So they are 50000
The final settlement of VCR can be done by depositing a total of Rs.51,000/- in Rupees (1,00,000 50%) and Rs.1000 (100% of 10,000).
