Anand Sharma has resigned from the post of party president amid the ongoing election turmoil in Himachal Pradesh. In a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi, he said that he cannot compromise with his self-respect, hence has made up his mind to resign. Sharma said that even in the counseling process he was neglected. However, he has assured Sonia Gandhi that he will continue to campaign for the party.
