After ordering Nothing Phone (2a) from Flipkart, a person was delivered a cheap smartphone that looks like an iPhone. The user has complained about this on social media platform X. Even before this, many incidents of receiving wrong products from Flipkart have come to light. The solution has not been found yet by the e-commerce company. Although, Flipkart has started open box delivery service for this, but despite this, users are getting wrong products.
Many such cases have come to light in which users have received bars of soap, boxes etc. through their phones. According to the complaint made on X, Tuyyab Malik (@MalikTuyyab) had purchased the recently launched Nothing Phone (2a) from Flipkart. He had opted for open box delivery, but still received the wrong product.
Got wrong product
In his complaint, Tuyyab has shared a screenshot of the order and received box from Flipkart, in which instead of Nothing Phone (2a), an iPhone-like iKall K575 smartphone was found. Tuyeb has also shared the video of the unboxing of this phone, in which when the Flipkart executive opens the box, iKall’s cheap phone can be seen coming out of it.
After this, Tuyyab complained to Flipkart, but till now he has not got the solution. After complaining to Flipkart, the seller rejected the return request saying that the courier service provider has confirmed that the phone is present in the box. However, in the mail sent by the company to Tuyyab, a different reason has been given for rejecting the return. It has been said that the picture shared of the wrong product is not clear.
After this Tuyyab told that he has a video of the phone unboxing. The company had not delivered the open box to the victim. The first sale of Nothing Phone (2a) was held on 12 March. That day the phone was being sold at a starting price of Rs 19,999. Tuyyab had ordered the phone the same day, for which he had paid Rs 20,808. This includes open box delivery charge of Rs 29.
Flipkart has already been fined
When the person did not get the solution from Flipkart, he complained about it on the National Consumer Helpline. Even before this, a case has come to light recently, in which a person had ordered an iPhone from Flipkart, which was canceled by the company. After complaining in the consumer court, an order was issued to pay compensation of Rs 10,000 to Flipkart.
