The moment has come, for which Veda was waiting. Four-year-old Ved Garg, who is suffering from Thalassemia, is going to get a new life. He will be admitted to East Asia Institute of Thalassemia, Jaipur on February 23 for bone marrow transplant. On the Sunday before leaving, Ved along with his parents had darshan at Man: Kameshwar temple.
Ved Garg, a resident of Kheragarh, Agra, is suffering from Thalassemia blood disease since the age of nine months. Father Jitendra Garg is a laborer. Due to poor financial condition, he was unable to afford the transplant surgery. AnyTV Foundation, dedicated to humanitarian concern, has taken the lead in helping Vedas. Donors also opened their hands and helped financially. Ved’s mother Krishna Garg will give her bone marrow for the transplant. Ved will be admitted to the hospital for about three months.
8.79 lakhs collected so far
So far Rs 8,79,079 has been collected for the help of Vedas. In which a check of 25 thousand deposited in the hospital is also included. Father Jitendra told that so far Rs 23800 has been spent on investigation and treatment. 8,30,279 is deposited in the bank account. The estimated cost of Ved’s bone marrow transplant is Rs 11.10 lakh.

Dr. Priya, a transplant physician treating Ved Garg, told that bone marrow transplant is the best option for the patient suffering from Thalassemia major. Father Jitendra Garg told that Veda is being treated for two years by transfusion of blood. Iron in the blood is increasing due to frequent blood transfusions. Due to which there is a possibility of side effects on other organs. That’s why doctors have advised transplant.
