The day after the communal riots in Karauli district of Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has blamed the BJP on the forehead. He alleged that after the formation of the BJP-led NDA government at the Center, an atmosphere of polarization has been created in the country on the basis of religion. Along with this, Gehlot also demanded an appeal to Prime Minister Modi to rein in polarization. He said that peace, brotherhood and harmony are very important for development.
Polarization in the name of religion and caste is not in the interest of the country
Ashok Gehlot was interacting with the media in Barmer district. According to the Economic Times, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should appeal to the people of the country in this regard. The PM should explain to the people that polarization in the name of religion and caste is not in the interest of the country. He said that what happened yesterday in Karauli and today in Bair is very unfortunate. If the religions of the people involved in the fight are different, then it is wrong to polarize on this basis. The Chief Minister did not stop at this only. He also targeted the central government for rising inflation and unemployment in the country. He said that there has never been more deceit in the country. Gehlot said that oil prices did not increase even once during the elections of five states and now they are increasing continuously. He said that the people of the country need to understand the central government’s model of governance.
Question on Yogi Adityanath’s government
Along with this, Gehlot also raised questions on the government of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that fake encounters are being done in UP. Gehlot said that it is very easy to do a fake encounter. But the country will progress only when the rule of law is established. Only then people will get justice. Speaking on the violence in Karauli, he said that he was worried after getting information about it on Saturday evening. Gehlot said that I had ordered the DGP to take strict action against the people. I had said that strict action should be taken against those involved in the case, irrespective of religion or caste. A strong message should be sent in the matter that there is only rule of law in Rajasthan.
