Arguments of both sides-
On the other hand, Hindu Sena has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to intervene in the petition seeking a stay on the Gyanvapi Masjid survey by the management of Anjuman Inazaniya Masjid, Varanasi. At the same time, Hindu Sena’s national president Vishnu Gupta has demanded to dismiss the petition of the Masjid Committee in this matter with fine.
What did the Supreme Court say
In his petition, he argued that the “Places of Worship Act” of 1991 does not prevent the determination of the nature of a religious place. Apart from this, on the basis of Islamic principles, any mosque built by demolishing the temple cannot be legal. According to the petition, Lord Adi Visheshwar has been worshiped for centuries in Gyanvapi. This has always been their property, so their right over this property cannot be taken away. According to the petition of Ashwani Upadhyay, once the life is established in the temple, unless the idols are removed from there by the process of immersion or the idol kept in the temple is not broken, then their form is considered to exist and They are worshipped. Even if some part of the temple is demolished or prayers are offered at that place, even then its religious nature cannot be changed.
