Vishal Jha/Ghaziabad: Holi festival is celebrated with great pomp across the country. In this great festival of colours, people have a lot of fun and enjoy with their family or friends. As much fun as playing Holi with colors is in the beginning, the same difficulty is later in removing those colors from different places of the body. Many times, small carelessness spoils the colors of this happy festival. Especially due to loss of color in eyes, nose and ears, many types of problems can arise.
Dr. Brijpal Tyagi, senior ENT surgeon of Ghaziabad, said that the balloons and water cannons thrown at people during Holi can damage the eardrums if they enter the ears at high speed. Because the eardrum is 0.1 mm. If water enters through even a small gap in that curtain, then that dusty water can reach the ears and cause infection. There are 2-3 types of ear infections. There is bacterial, viral and fungal. Then after infection, swelling in the bone, all these problems start increasing and we call this AOSM (Acute Suppurative Otitis Media).
Chemical laden water can spread ear infection
Doctor Brijpal Tyagi told that this problem can be cured only through operation. It does not get cured without operation. That is why water getting into the eyes and ears due to the pressure of a water sprayer can damage the eyes and ears. If the damage occurs, our hearing will be reduced and deafness will occur. If there is damage to the eyes, vision will be reduced. Therefore, whoever plays Holi, should play Holi with flowers and play Holi with healthy colors.
How to protect eyes and ears before playing Holi
If you are going to play Holi then cover your eyes with glasses. Put birds in the ears and you can apply any oil on the whole body. So that there is no serious effect on the skin. If we have ear plugs then the strong stream of water will not be able to enter our ears and you can also use a hair bag to protect your hair.
